Climate change

Climate change has emerged as the global environmental and economic challenge of the 21st century. It has significant implications for individuals, communities, governments and business enterprises.

KPMG recognises the importance of this issue and leads by example, as demonstrated by a dedicated commitment to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions associated with our operations and becoming carbon neutral under the Greenhouse Friendly TM program by mid 2008.

This is supplemented by KPMG’s strong history of involvement with a range of organisations, including many policy makers, the United Nations Environmental Program, the International Emission Trading Association, the Carbon Disclosure Project and private sector clients around the world. Through our global network, KPMG has provided input into the development of climate change related policies in various jurisdictions around the world.

With significant local experience in Australia combined with our global network, KPMG assists clients to better understand and develop practical and effective responses to climate change related challenges and opportunities.
